DC Comics, Inc. Amerikalı bir çizgi roman yayıncısıdır. DC Entertainment'ın yayıncılık birimidir. DC Entertainment, Time Warner'a bağlı Warner Bros.'ın alt kuruluşudur. DC Comics, Amerika çizgi roman endüstrisinin en büyük ve en eski şirketlerinden birisidir.
Yarattığı ve yayımladığı bazı ünlü karakterler arasında Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Supergirl, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Shazam, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Static Shock, Hawkman, Hawkgirl ve Green Arrow sayılabilir. Kurgusal DC evreni; Justice League, Justice Society of America, Suicide Squad ve Teen Titans gibi takımlara; ayrıca Joker, Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Catwoman, Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, Professor Zoom, Sinestro, Black Adam ve Brainiac gibi "kötü"lere ev sahipliği yapar. Şirket ayrıca Vertigo markası altında Watchmen ve V for Vendetta gibi DC evreninin dışında kalan çizgi romanları da basmıştır.
"DC" harfleri, şirketin popüler serilerinden biri olan Detective Comics'in baş harflerinden gelir. Batman bu serinin içinde doğmuş ve zamanla DC, şirketin adı haline gelmiştir.
Girişimci Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson 1934 yılında "National Allied Publications"ı kurdu. "New Fun: The Big Comic Magazine #1" isimli ilk dergileri Şubat 1935 tarihinde çıktı. Şirketin ikinci unvanı olan New Comics # 1 (1935 Aralık), dönem boyunca çizgi romanların standart haline gelene yakın bir boyutta göründü; 1935 yılında, Süpermen'in gelecekteki yaratıcıları Jerry Siegel ve Joe Shuster , halen DC Evrendeki en eski DC Comics karakteri olan Doctor Occult'u yarattı . Wheeler-Nicholson'un üçüncü ve son ünvanı olan Detective Comics , Aralık 1936 tarihli bir kapak resmiyle ilan edildi. Temalı antoloji serisi 27. sayısında Batman’in (Mayıs 1939) tanıtımıyla bir sansasyon yaratır. "National Allied Publications" kısa süre sonra 30 Eylül 1946'da "National Comics Publications"ı oluşturan Detective Comics, Inc. ile birleşti.
